Saint Paul Baptist Church Arson Benefit Account
A benefit account has been set up for Saint Paul Baptist Church in Rayville. The church sanctuary was totally destroyed by an arson fire on Halloween. The church congregation had struggled for many years to construct and open a new sanctuary and they finally succeeded in doing so earlier this year. Anyone can make a deposit into the Benefit Account for Saint Paul Baptist Church at Richland State Bank locations in Rayville, Mangham, Monroe, West Monroe, Oak Grove, Bastrop, and Minden.
Dancing with the Louisiana Stars
The Louisiana Delta Ballet is putting on the “Dancing with the Louisiana Stars“ fundraising benefit Friday February 2nd at the Monroe Civic Center. The event pairs local celebrities with dancers from the Louisiana Delta Ballet. Tables are available. For more information call 345-1155.

Smoke on the Mountain
Smoke on the Mountain will be performed Friday through Sunday, February 16th-18th at the Strauss Theatre in Monroe. The play tells the story of a Saturday night gospel sing at a country church in North Carolina’s Smoky Mountains in 1938. This is an uplifting, family friendly presentation. Treasures of the Biedenharn Bible Collection
Treasures of the Biedenharn Bible Collection will be happening at the Museum Thursday February 22nd at 6pm. Museum Director Ralph Calhoun presents an insightful look at some of the highlights of the Biedenharn Museum’s Bible collection, including examples from the first two Bibles printed in the U.S. After the presentation guests are invited to tour the Bible Museum.
